Call for Papers

 

Stream:   OR in Quality Management

 

The 25th European Conference on Operational Research will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania, July 8-11, 2012. We are organizing a stream of sessions on OR in Quality Management, and would like to invite contributions from the community of researchers, academicians, students and practitioners from universities, industries and research establishments in the area of quality management.

OR in Quality Management:

Operations research in quality management aims to improve quality of problem solving and decision making in the areas of quality planning, design, control, improvement and assurance. All modeling, measurement, analysis and optimization approaches newly developed, improved, or studied preferably with applications in these areas are welcome to the stream of OR in Quality Management. The topics to be covered include, but not limited to:

 

Statistical quality control

Quality improvement

Quality through design

Six sigma and lean approaches

Quality systems and standards

Reliability models and analysis

Service quality

Quality and performance

Quality management in supply chains

Quality analytics and data mining

 

We welcome contributions that fit or relate to any of the above topics and concerns. Session proposals and general inquiries can be addressed to any (or all) of the stream organizers.

To submit an abstract to the OR in Quality Management stream, please provide the submission code 383f80a8 in the Abstract Submission page of the conference web site: www.euro-2012.lt

Abstracts must be written in English and contain no more than 600 characters (no formulas or mathematical notations are allowed). The deadline for abstract submission is Feb 29, 2012.

Note that each attendee is allowed to present only one paper at the conference, but may be a co-author for other papers.
